The Business Development Manager is a player/coach who is responsible for guiding a team of sales development reps to identify new sales opportunities for Ovia Health, including targeting and nurturing new prospects as well as converting pre-qualified Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs).
Who you are:
- Successful in building and executing a business development strategy.
- Proven ability to convert inbound leads to opportunities and guiding successful outbound sales techniques, including cold calling and emailing.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with other teams within the organization to create a culture of feedback and growth.
- Outstanding creativity and research skills; a successful candidate will think critically about the best outreach strategy.
- Great problem-solving skills and skills.
What you will do:
- Manage a team of Business Development Representatives who focus on outbound sales. In addition, you will provide mentorship and give regular feedback.
- Work closely with the Business Development, Sales, and Marketing teams to execute tactics that will deliver sales pipeline growth.
- Nurture inbound, marketing qualified leads through direct calls, direct emails, email campaigns, social media outreach, etc.
- Source new sales leads and route qualified leads to sales executive for further discussion.
- Provide regular, accurate reporting on activities and progress;Â update lead status using Salesforce on a daily basis.
- Participate in trainings and get to know our products, our buyers and the gaps we’re looking to solve for.
- Build a deep knowledge base regarding Ovia’s unique value proposition for prospective customers relevant to their business objectives.
What we require:
- Experience managing and motivating a sales team.
- 2 years experience with inbound and/or outboard sales. Healthcare experience preferred.
- Sales orientation; an understanding of the full sales process and knowing the value of starting with a high quality pipeline.
- Knowledge of Salesforce and discipline to use on a daily basis.

Pay Range: $88,552 – $144,300 (The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity)
