What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for a talented and motivated senior manager, creative operations, to join our growing creative team. The senior manager leads the creative operations team and works closely with leadership across marketing to lead the team to delivering projects to scope, budget and deadline.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Lead and support the creative project management team to deliver projects to scope, budget and deadline for 2U partner programs.
- Collaborate with leadership to direct, execute and maintain our portfolio of programs and initiatives and present conclusions and serve as strategic advisor with recommendations to management regarding project management processes and systems.
- Direct the Project Management Team to stay within approved budgets, start dates and completion dates and ensure consistent application across all creative requests.
- Lead lively and productive brainstorms with the team to inspire new ideas for improvement of systems and processes and project manage the new ideas/initiatives to completion and launch.
Manage and develop the team to success.
- Guide and develop the Project Management Team and support them in their professional development goals.
- Provide high-level strategy and context to the manager so that they can properly aim the team’s work to meet scope, budget and deadline goals.
- Support the Project Management Team with staffing, development and training guidance.
Collaborate with CMG Leadership and other Marketing departments on strategy-driven operational processes.
- Partner closely with marketing team stakeholders to solve challenges facing the department and promote efficiencies between teams.
- Maintain working knowledge of the overall Marketing process; provide recommendations for improvements where appropriate and contribute to change management efforts.
- Collaborate with other marketing operations teams to share best practices and ideas to implement across the team.
- Initiate and inspire new project management ideas and approaches that differentiate and strengthen our delivery of 2U marketing projects.
Actively participate in the growth and evolution of the creative team.
- Work with the VP, creative director to appropriately resource the Creative Operations Team.
- Work with the manager to assess staffing needs and balancing team workloads.
- Lead Creative Operations’ talent acquisition strategy: vet resumes and conduct interviews with project management candidates.
- Work closely with creative team leadership to establish new processes and efficiencies across the creative team.
- Implement proven systems and processes to increase the overall quality and efficiency of the project management team.
- Promote the creative team’s mission while serving as an ambassador for Creative Operations.
- Promote accountability while continually improving the creative project management process across the marketing department.
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
- Bachelor’s degree; PMP preferred
- 10+ years of industry experience
- Minimum 5 years of management experience
- Demonstrate breadth of experience and solid project management skills with a strong portfolio of managing successful delivery of projects.
- Must have knowledge of traditional waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Expert knowledge of Tableau
- Experience with project management software systems
- Proven experience working collaboratively with a creative and marketing team
- Exceptional interpersonal (written and verbal) communication and presentation skills
- Experience working with integrated campaigns and complex projects.
- Experience in higher education (preferred)

The anticipated base salary range for this role is ($95,000 – $100,000), with potential bonus eligibility. Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, budget for the position and cost of labor in the market in which the candidate will be hired.
