This high-profile role will have an enormous impact on Vidyard’s product strategy, revenue and profitability.

About the Team

Our Growth team is a newly formed initiative, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and is aligned with Vidyard’s go-to-market (GTM) functions including marketing, product and engineering.  As the Director, Growth you will have approximately 10 talented folks from across Product & Engineering reporting to you.

What You’ll Work On

  • Collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, sales, data analytics and engineering, to develop and implement growth strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Identify and prioritize growth opportunities within the product and implement rapid, focused experimentation and learning to drive self-service revenue, reduce customer acquisition costs and improve long-term value to our customers.
  • Conduct user research and analyze data to identify user needs, behaviours and opportunities to accelerate the growth of our self-service business, helping connect users to the value that Vidyard brings to their business.
  • Foster an innovative and experimental mindset throughout the team and organization
  • Build, mentor and enable the team to successfully deliver on objectives, continuously improve against growth competencies, and achieve their career objectives.

As a Director, Growth You Can Expect to:

  • Have an enormous impact.  You will develop a long-term product strategy and roadmap that focuses on the opportunities that have the biggest customer impact, making our users lives more pleasant and productive
  • Inspire executives, leadership, and cross-functional peers on your growth vision and solutions
  • Build a high-performing team of growth-minded and customer obsessed folks
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute successfully against key priorities and top projects that result in a positive impact on the customer experience as evidenced by quantitative and qualitative metrics
  • Launch critical, high-impact experiments smoothly in ways that build customer trust and value
  • Execute at a fast pace with a focus on user experience, impact, and learning in collaboration with engineering, product, design and marketing peers: making trade-offs, anticipating staffing needs, risks, and ensuring frequent and clear communication
  • Partner with the leadership across the organization to coordinate your team’s investments and optimize the value of your work
  • Be accountable for the quality and quantity of your team’s work

What You’ll Bring to this Role and Your New Team:

  • 4+ years’ experience at the Director level
  • 8+ years’ experience leading major growth initiatives across consumer or direct-to-customer business products, with a proven track record of delivering user value.
  • You are product-minded with the ability to take rough themes and big ideas and turn them into a roadmap of features, experiments, and research with minimal guidance.  You have a proven track record of driving user acquisition, retention and engagement within a product experience.
  • You operate with a data-informed and experiment-driven style to optimize for learning. You can design, run, and interpret experiments and A/B tests.
  • You are user and customer obsessed, understand the user psychology, have deep customer empathy and passion for driving long-term value for the customer.
  • You are an excellent communicator, whether working with executives, cross-functional partners, external stakeholders or when mentoring peers.
  • You have an ownership mentality; from what we build, how we operate to how we market. You are accountable for driving business impact in an experiment-driven product culture.  You say what you’ll do and do what you say and hold your team to the same standard.
