Overview

We are looking for a Senior Design Director with strong experience in brand & marketing. In this role, you’ll help develop and implement design vision, strategy, principles, process, and systems, while managing the creative team within nZero’s marketing function. You’ll play a key role in evolving our brand to resonate with key audiences and amplify nZero as the carbon accounting and management platform for achieving decarbonization goals and reducing costs and risk.

This position will work in direct partnership with the VP of Marketing to help translate and prioritize business needs into creative initiatives, collateral, and campaigns. You’ll play a key role in keeping the larger team on brand while supporting Marketing and Sales with day-to-day tasks systems and processes that can scale to support our growing teams.

Responsibilities

      • Drive and evolve our brand vision and strategy, across our key sectors
      • Manage a growing pipeline of creative needs within marketing and sales
      • Lead designers on the creative team and agency partners
      • Leverage your visual design skills to deliver consistent and cohesive design across various projects and timelines while keeping the integrity of the brand
      • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the organization to align on project goals, clearly communicate design choices, and incorporate feedback
      • Create design solutions for a range of channels and audiences: paid/organic social, email, digital/print ads, decks, digital marketing design, and some web design
      • Collaborate with nZero’s product design team
      • Participate in a cross-functional design community with internal stakeholders across the organization to align on project goals, clearly communicate design choices, and incorporate feedback

Recommended Qualifications

    • 10+  of years experience in brand and visual design
    • 3+ years of experience managing a creative team

    • Ability to work a hybrid schedule: in-office two days per week
    • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
    • Excellent visual communication design skills
    • Ability to empathize from a customer’s perspective
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to articulate and present new ideas to both internal and external stakeholders
    • A generative approach to design and comfort with ambiguity
    • A collaborative spirit and ability to make others successful
    • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
    • Passion for and appetite for learning within the energy and sustainability space
