Microsoft Senior Systems Engineer

HubSpot’s Systems Operations team is looking for an experienced Microsoft Windows Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership for the future design, management, and support of our Windows server fleet and Active Directory Services, which comprise a significant portion of our corporate server infrastructure.  We’re looking for a security and scalability minded individual well versed with on-prem Active Directory at a global scale, along with the latest systems management tools available in Azure.  This person will serve as the Microsoft Azure, Azure AD, and Office 365 Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the team, utilizing their expertise in these platforms to drive continuous improvement and provide long-term strategic vision.  This role sits in our Business Technology Enterprise Infrastructure team which is composed of technical IT experts, Systems Engineers, as well as roles focused on improving our end-user experience and productivity.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related technical field, or equivalent relevant working experience is required.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing, administering, and supporting global Microsoft Windows Active Directory networks including Directory Services, DNS, DHCP, DFS, GPO and Security.
  • 2+ years administering or supporting Microsoft Azure Active Directory and related features such as User Management, Role Management, App Registrations, Shared Secrets/Certificates, Azure Arc, Log Analytics, and AAD Connect.
  • Strong ability to develop or refactor PowerShell scripts used for management and automation is required.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and designs is required.
  • Understanding of network architectures, routing, DNS, TCP/IP protocols, and SSL/TLS ciphers
  • Experience in automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Puppet and/or Chef is desired but not required.

Cash compensation range: 106000-148000 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all HubSpotters are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
