About the role:

As a Staff Sales Engineer, you will work closely with account executives to craft technical solutions that meet our customers’ needs. You will identify how Aurora’s powerful products fit into a client’s workflow and add value by eliminating manual steps, automating processes, and increasing the speed and efficiency of designing and selling solar. A successful candidate in this role will have deep API knowledge and the ability to think creatively and present solutions to C-level executives both internally and externally.

What you’ll do:

    • Partner with Account Executives and Value Consultants to analyze and understand clients’ business, sales, design processes, and operation needs
    • Build workflows and charts that depict the customer journey, software utilization, and cost stacks
    • Identify opportunities where Aurora Solar creates value and/or reduces costs for our customers with technical solutions
    • Define technical requirements necessary to implement the identified cost reductions and added-value solutions for the client
    • Suggest new approaches to client operations that utilize Aurora Solar in more optimized methods while increasing stickiness
    • Become an Aurora Solar product expert in all aspects, especially in enterprise API and integration capabilities, and provide client feedback to Aurora’s Product teams

What we value:

    • Deep domain experience in SaaS implementation, development, or product management

    • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

At Aurora Solar, we tie our base pay ranges to level and location. In the United States, this means that your base pay ranges will fall into one of three geographic pay zones depending on your location.
In most cases, we target the midpoint of our salary ranges for new hire compensation. This placement is reflective of full proficiency in a role. Base pay is ultimately determined based on a number of factors including skills, qualifications, and location. This role is eligible for additional variable compensation and an equity grant, which will be discussed in your initial recruiter conversation.
Our current base pay ranges in each zone are:
– Tier 1 San Francisco, New York City: $129,500.00 to $175,500.00
– Tier 2 Seattle, Los Angeles, Washington DC: $117,500.00 – $159,500.00
– Tier 3 All Other US Locations, including Colorado: $117,000.00 – $159,500.00
